Cancer & Heart Disease Scholarship Fund

The TAK Cancer & Heart Disease Scholarship Fund was established in 1979 by Tau Alpha Kappa. Since that time, the scholarship fund has continued to grow, and now provides an endowed scholarship each semester to help Louisiana College students who have been affected directly by cancer or heart disease, and/or are a Pre-Professional Health major who's eventual research and work may help provide comfort or a cure for cancer or heart disease.

Tau Alpha Kappa has established a goal to provide for multiple such scholarships forever. The TAK Endowed Scholarship is designed to insure that funds are available to provide the scholarships every semester, every year, in perpetuity.

The Brothers of Tau Alpha Kappa encourages everyone to contribute to this worthy cause. All contributors can feel good knowing their one-time, tax deductible donation will work forever for the worthy cause of providing an endowed scholarship to relieve the hardships caused by cancer and heart disease, and to help provide for the education of someone whose research and work may eventually help provide a cure.
