Tau Alpha Kappa has produced many successful doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, military leaders and captains of industry. Below, you will find a sampling of some of these esteemed alumni.


Jerald Rush - Mr. Rush is one of the founders of TAK and has been blessed with a bountiful life ever since. Jerald has helped grow his family business to nine regional funeral homes, 2 furniture warehouse centers and an insurance company serving businesses statewide in 100 plus locations. He is an active member of his church and enjoys his free time with family & friends.


Ray Baxter, J.D. - Mr. Baxter is a very successful trial attorney, entrepreneur and lecturer. Since his college days as a member of the LC Debate Team and Official Spokesperson for TAK, he has had the distinction of serving as Special Justice to the Arkansas State Supreme Court and, in 1993, tried & won a case for his client that produced the largest monetary judgment in the history of Arkansas.


Dr. Lanny Maddox - Dr. Maddox has recently retired, subsequent to serving the law enforcement community for 33 years. He served his last eleven years as Chief of Police in Ruidoso, New Mexico and earned a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice Administration. He is now the Law Enforcement Training Facilitator for the Central Region of New Mexico, he teaches for the FBI and serves as an Counter-Terrorism Expert. 


Dr. Frank Ashley - Dr. Ashley is in his second year of service as the Dean of the College of Education and Human Services at Texas A&M-Commerce. He previously served as the Chair of the Kinesiology Division & Coordinator of the Sport Management Program, and has authored or co-authored more than 100 presentations and publications. Prior to moving to A&M in 1986, Dr. Ashley taught & coached at Louisiana College & Tioga High School.


Rev. John Primeaux - Rev. Primeaux serves as the Minister of Education in a small church in Lafayette, LA. By day he works as a graphic designer in a small print shop. He has continued to train in the martial arts he started while at LC and has earned black belt rank in ten different arts which have been combined into the system he founded and currently teaches, San Yama Ryu.


Chris Webb, CEP®, CPC® - Mr. Webb is a Registered Financial Consultant and provides business & financial services for small-to-medium size business owners seeking to optimize their business & personal affairs. After college, he spent five years in the electronic intelligence branch of the U.S. Navy and was decorated as a Command & Control Warfare Supervisor after two deployments in the Persian Gulf.
